INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING FOR PART TIME ATTENDANCE (Rising Seniors Only)
These are instructions for you to follow if you plan on doing a Part Time 4 or 6 class schedule for your senior year. If you plan on taking college courses at HCC, STOP, scroll down to “HCC Dual Enrollment Steps.”
- Visit the following link: https://www.hcps.org/students/enrollmentoptions
- Log in with the same credentials you use to log in to the computers at school
- In most cases, you will choose the Part Time – Work option. This is for students planning to go on a part time class schedule so that they can work more hours at their part time job.
- Under “Part Time Attendance (Students Only)”, click “Work”
- Please note that students will rarely choose the option of “Extraordinary Circumstances” or “Financial Circumstances”
- Complete the application. You will need to have a list of classes you plan to take as well as be prepared to write a brief letter stating why you want to go part time. Your parent will also write a brief letter. Fill in ALL blanks, even if you have to write in N/A for some sections. Otherwise, the application will not submit properly.
- Once you have hit submit, please make sure you receive confirmation. This will appear in a green message. If you do not receive this, your application did not go through. You can also email your counselor to confirm if the application was received successfully.
- You will receive a confirmation email within 2 weeks stating whether your application was approved. You will need to keep an eye on your email to look out for this.
