Connect 5 Outreach December 6, 2021

Good afternoon,

This is Michael Quigg, Principal of Aberdeen High School reaching out with an important message.

Our school went on modified lockdown today after an altercation between students. In addition, rumors began to circulate in the building of planned disruptions to our school day. School administrators and the school’s security resource officer, or SRO, worked together to ensure the continued safety of our students. The modified lockdown was conducted in an abundance of caution. The modified lockdown required students to remain in the building, with no outside activities.  We would like to commend our students for exhibiting excellent behavior during the modified lockdown.  We continue to encourage students, staff, and families that if you see something, you say something. Please take this opportunity to talk with your student about the seriousness and resulting consequences of making threats, real or perceived, against our school. We will take disciplinary action against those students who take action to disrupt our school day.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at school.

Thank you for your time and attention.
