As we plan for the first day of school, Tuesday September 8, 2020, I wanted to provide a glimpse as to what each day will look like.  Harford County Public Schools has created a consistent A/B daily schedule for all students across the system.  Specifically, all Mondays and Wednesdays will be A days and Tuesdays and Thursdays will be B days.  Friday will be a flex day, consisting of asynchronous instruction that will allow students to engage in intervention or enrichment opportunities.  More specific information pertaining to the Friday flex schedule will be communicated next week along with and info-graphic overview of the A/B schedule.

During each day, while at home or at a Learning Support Center students can expect to follow the following period schedule:

Please note that lunch times are consistent from grade K-12.

In preparation for the school year we have assembled a generic “Back to School” supply list that may be beneficial for your students.  While this is a generic list, please recognize that some teachers may have specific requirements for their course.  In addition please understand that a PE uniform will only be required when students return to school in person.

Looking ahead, please save the date for our upcoming SAT testing dates.  HCPS has designated two “during the school day” SAT sessions.  The first is September 23, 2020 and the second is October 27, 2020.  Registration information will be forthcoming and will be primarily for seniors only at this time.  Please be on the lookout for upcoming reminders as each SAT testing session will be capped at 80 students per site per day.

Thank you for your time and we look forward working closely with you in the weeks to come!
